I adopted Ivy about 18 months ago when she was 7 years old. She had lived a very hard life before coming to me, having been bred and forced to fight. When I rescued her, I never imagined how much she would rescue me in return. Ivy is the kindest, sweetest dog, and everyone who meets her instantly falls in love with her gentle spirit and loving nature.

Recently, Ivy developed a blocked intestine, and it has been a scary and overwhelming time for both of us. I’ve done everything I can to cover the cost of her urgent surgery, maxing out all of my credit cards to pay for as much as possible. Despite my efforts, I still owe more for her care, and I’m reaching out to the people who know and love Ivy, as well as anyone who believes in giving animals a second chance.
