Ivy is a 3 year old Blue Nose Pit who has already been a life saver and emotional support to many despite her own traumas. Rescued as a pup she loved and supported a young lady through a difficult last of year of college. She then was an emotional support to that young lady's mother as she battled cancer and underwent chemo treatments to only have to experience the trauma of having to be separated from the family because of an HOA that does not allow the breed. Ivy went to live with close friends of the family who instantly fell in love with her and her funny and loving personality. She instantly became an emotional support to her new dad who suffered from kidney failure and other ailments. Ivy and her dad spent every day together until one day in March when he had to be hospitalized. Ivy and her mom suffered day and night crying and worrying about the health of her dad and being in the hospital alone during this pandemic. Sadly, they never saw him again as he passed away in late April. Having Ivy has been the only way her mom has been able to survive this tragedy. Now a new tragedy affects Ivy and her mom. Ivy is suffering from a fast growing lesion in her mouth called an Epulis. In less than a year, Ivy's had 3 surgeries and now has to be under the care of a specialist that will cost almost $8000 for her to have a CT, a lymph node aspirated and radiation therapy to her mouth. Insurance won’t cover it because it is a pre-existing condition. With the recent loss of her dad and his income, there is no way that Ivy's mom can afford these treatments and losing Ivy would be a total devastation. Please help us save Ivy and relieve some of the burden off her mom. Ivy has helped and been a support to so many and now she needs your help. Please find it in your heart to help.
