Ivy is one of the sweetest little souls we’ve ever known — less than five pounds but full of pure love and courage. Along with her inseparable companion, Ollie, she recently found her forever home with us after a long and uncertain journey. From the moment we met them, their bond was undeniable, and we knew they belonged together. Ivy’s favorite pastime is snuggling close and showering her humans with endless puppy kisses, while Ollie never leaves her side, offering comfort and protection in his own quiet way.

What breaks our hearts is knowing that Ivy has suffered for most, if not all, of her life without the proper testing or treatment she needed. Now that she and Ollie are safe, we’re committed to giving them both the love, care, and medical attention they deserve — but we need help to give Ivy the happy, healthy life she’s always deserved.

Since bringing her home, we've learned Ivy is battling not one, but multiple serious health issues. She has tested positive for two parasites — Isospora and the incredibly tough-to-treat Cryptosporidium — and she’s also fighting canine circovirus, a virus so new and challenging that even diagnosing and treating it is a struggle. We’re still waiting on more tests, but every visit to the vet reveals just how brave Ivy truly is.

Despite all these challenges, Ivy’s spirit is unbreakable. She thrives on love, hope, and every bit of care we can give her. But the cost of her medical treatments, medications, and ongoing veterinary visits has been overwhelming and unexpected. We want nothing more than to see her healthy, happy, and free from pain—tail wagging, cuddling, and living the joyful life she’s long been denied.

It’s never easy for us to ask for help, but Ivy’s needs are bigger than what we can manage alone. We’ve had insurance for Ivy since the day she was adopted; however, because her conditions have been determined to be pre-existing, none of the testing or treatments are covered by our policy.
