I'm so sad to be sharing that our friend, Ivy has been dealt the most terrible hand. Earlier this year, she was diagnosed with 2 types of cancer in quick succession and not given a good prognosis. First, Peritoneal Carcinomatosis and then, stage 3C Advanced Ovarian Cancer 2 weeks later. She was given a 5% chance of living for each type of cancer and was not cleared for surgery. Can you even imagine how devastating that must have felt? Even with all that news, Ivy has been determined to get treatment and beat this! After her first round of chemotherapy, against all odds she was cleared for surgery. Her surgery didn't go to plan but they removed as much of the cancer as possible including her ovaries, appendix and part of her diaphragm. She now has 3 years of treatment, medical bills and living expenses ahead of her.

If you know Ivy you know she has a great sense of humor. Throughout this incredibly difficult year she has not lost that sense of humor even once! She is still laughing and joking as always! She does need our help though! The financial strain is becoming too much. The bills have pilled up and she is struggling to stay afloat. You can imagine that more stress is the last thing she needs. I would love for money to be the VERY last thing that she has to think about right now. This is where you and I can help her!
