The very cold weather has put a strain on me and my pets. My social security doesn't go far enough, and I have several animals who depend on me for food and shelter. I care for a few feral cats, one dog, and two horses. My older mare is 35 years old, and I raised her myself. The younger mare, who is now seven, came to me from an auction four years ago when she was very skinny. She has become an amazing horse, and I am grateful to have her in my life.

Feed prices have gotten very high, and my animals always eat first. I live in a camper so I can have a place to keep my animals, but I have run out of propane to heat it. I only have a small electric heater, and even with several layers of clothes, I am still cold. The funds from this fundraiser will be used for feed and bedding for my horses and dog, extra shavings for the stalls and my dog's house, dry cat food, and propane for my camper. This support will help keep my animals and myself warm and safe during these harsh winter days.

I want to keep my promise to my old mare to care for her all her life and be the best caretaker for all my animals. I pray we can get through these very cold days. I have psoriatic arthritis, so any help to keep warm so I can care for my animals would be greatly appreciated. Even a small amount would be a blessing. Thank you for considering helping us.
