Help Ivy Get Back on Her Paws

This is Ivy, a sweet brindle French Bulldog with the biggest personality packed into her little frame. She’s affectionately known as Stephanie’s “Sumo Wrestler” because of her playful stubbornness and the way she brings joy and laughter to everyone she meets.

But recently, Ivy’s life changed overnight. She woke up suddenly unable to walk. One day she was her usual happy, spunky self — the next, she was paralyzed in her back legs. After rushing her to the vet, Ivy underwent urgent care, MRI’s, CT scans, testing, and hospitalization. She may need surgery, a body brace, and a custom wheelchair to help her regain mobility.

The cost so far has already reached $12,000, with more expenses expected for treatment, equipment, and rehabilitation.

About Stephanie & Ivy

Stephanie, Ivy’s mom, is the heart of our pet community. For over 25 years she has owned and operated Stephanie’s Pet Grooming in Burlington. She’s cared for thousands of dogs and cats with love, skill, and compassion.

Stephanie is known for her kindness — offering discounted or even free grooms to families who are struggling, traveling to homes when clients can’t make it in, and always putting the wellbeing of pets first. She has given so much to others. Now it’s our turn to give back to her and to Ivy.

The Financial Reality

What happened to Ivy isn’t just heartbreaking — it’s also a tremendous financial hardship. In just days, Stephanie’s family has already been faced with $12,000 in vet bills, with the likelihood of more costs to come for surgery, braces, rehab, and ongoing care.

Like so many loving pet parents, Stephanie would do anything for Ivy. But the reality is, unexpected medical emergencies like this place an enormous burden on families — one that no pet owner ever truly feels prepared for.

Every dollar raised helps ease that weight and ensures that Stephanie can focus on what matters most: giving Ivy the best chance at recovery.

How You Can Help

Every donation, big or small, will go directly toward Ivy’s medical care and recovery. Your support will help cover:
• Vet bills already totaling $12,000
• Possible surgery and ongoing treatment
• A body brace and/or custom wheelchair
• Rehabilitation and follow-up care

Even if you can’t donate, simply sharing Ivy’s story will help more than you know.

Why Ivy Deserves This

Ivy is more than just a pet. She’s family. She’s the little shadow who never fails to brighten Stephanie’s day and the goofy, strong “sumo wrestler” who steals everyone’s heart. With your help, Ivy has the chance to enjoy her favorite things again — snuggling on the couch, riding shotgun in the car, and showering her people with love.
