Ivory is our 10-month-old golden doodle, and she’s brought so much joy and love into our lives. Earlier this year, we noticed she was limping and in pain, so we took her to the vet for x-rays. That's when we learned she has severe Hip Dysplasia. Since then, Ivory has struggled with pain, mobility issues, and significant muscle loss in her back legs—as of today she’s lost about 60% of her muscle in her rear legs and is struggling to even walk. Despite physical therapy and medication, her condition has only gotten worse, and she often cries in pain.
Our vet has recommended a double Femoral Head Ostectomy, starting with her right side as soon as possible. The cost for just one side is overwhelming, and we’ll need to do the other side right after. Watching Ivory suffer has been heartbreaking for our family. She’s always been the sweetest, most lovable dog, and it’s so hard to see her unable to play or enjoy life the way she used to.
We’re asking for help to give Ivory the surgery she desperately needs. With this procedure, she’ll have a real chance at a pain-free, active life again. Any support will go directly toward her surgery and recovery, and it would truly mean the world to us to see her happy and healthy again.
