URGENT MUTUAL AID CALL FOR IVORY JEAN'S MEDICAL TREATMENTS AND HOMECOMING COSTS

This is an mutual aid call for Ivory Jean who is a Black Queer needing support gaining funds to help continue recieving medical treatments, and move back to the states to her home of the south. Ivory Jean is a Healer, multidisciplinary artist, and musician who left the states to heal and rest in Mexico and to grow their holistic coaching business. This was a choice they made after facing consistent violent and passive racist attacks and being hate crimed. They were forced out of their homelands of the Native South in hopes of respite. Now, 3 years later they recieved a medical diagnosis that has been extremely life threatening, and they have decided it is best for the them to return to their homelands to continue the process of their healing.

Ivory Jean has now been able to have the initial endoscopy, and recieved their first round of treatment ( a series of many many pills and antibiotics to tend to the ulcers they suffer with). This was able to happen due to your continued donations, and we couldn't be more thankful. Ivory Jean's journey to healing is just beginning, and we would love your continued investment in bigger goals that will truly aid in permanent systemic healing. We are now at a junction where continuing to support them to be able to aquire the necessary medication is most important. Being able to get the pills necessary, and the continued visits to the doctors, and general medical fines are vital in ivory jeans recovery.

Ivory Jean has decided that it is time for them to return to their homelands of the South. The isolation and hardships of their medical situation in their current place she resides are not good support for her healing both physically and spiritually. It is of equal importance that we support Ivory Jean to return to the states with her two emotional support animals. Her hopes of returning to beloved New Orleans will help in the process of her medical recovery. While her time out of the states has been exactly what needed to happen for their journey- they know it is time to come back to a place where there is possibility for community support, opportunities both spiritually and surrounding their goals, and to continue on in their longterm work of creating a community space for other Black creatives and healers looking for a space of solace in a ever increasingly violent white supremacist culture.

The latter of her goals are part of this gofundme- land ownership that will be funded by reparations. But in the current moment medical support and relocation are crucial for Ivory Jean. We are asking for an immediate need to be met of $3,000 by mid February so Ivory Jean is able to buy a living structure! Then another 4k will be needed to actually make the structure livable! But the inital expectation of cost of purchase is 3k. We are asking to help us ADVOCATE AND RAISE that money for Ivory Jean to get back to her homelands and also be housed while doing so!

We have witnessed highs and lows of donations with this gofundme and we are hoping to kick start it again to get them funds to make the big journey back to the states, buy an rv or secure a living space, recieve medical treatment and make sure her and her animals are fed and healthy through and through. We are deeply grateful for all that has been given so far. And we are asking for another push to help move them along into the next path of their journey after a very tumultuous and scary past few months of life threatening medical issues that are not even yet totally resolved, and will likely be a life long battle.

We are reaching out and urging people to give whatever they can to help ensure the safety and wellbeing of a beloved individual in the onslaught of navigating a frightening medical diagnosis that demands continued support- and in the deeper and wider vision of returning to her native homelands.
