My name is Ivory, and I’m fundraising to get a wheelchair for the symptoms of chronic conditions I am being treated and investigated for. As many who’ve supported me know, I’ve been hospitalized and had surgeries multiple times in the past years, for varying health conditions. Moving forward with my health means accepting that these conditions impact my ability to be mobile safely. A wheelchair would mean so much independence, and being able to continue doing the things I love. I’ve wanted to tattoo since I was a kid, but right now my mobility is a roadblock to being able to be at my job on a regular basis.

I’ve been a complex case, and have struggled to be diagnosed and properly treated especially while I’m waiting for long periods to see specialist during covid lockdowns in Canada as a severely immune compromised person. I can’t say how grateful I would be to be able to safely do things without fainting or pain, and not struggle with the provincial health insurance system.
