Help Ivonne on her Cancer Treatment

My name is Ivonne Aguilar, I’m 29 years old and am from Tegucigalpa, Honduras. God has been good to me and has blessed me with a beautiful family; my husband, Ronal Carrasco and my two children, Ryan (11) and Katie (3).
I have always seen the hand of God taking care of me, guarding and sustaining me, and I have had the support of my family and friends during my life. I thank God for putting me on His path and for giving me the beautiful gift of salvation through the death of Jesus on the cross. Without that I’m sure I would not have been able to handle the tests I have had throughout my life.
I had a series of medical tests done since March 2016 and cancer of the thyroid was detected. Thank God it was not the aggressive type, but it was still cancer. I had the surgery to remove my thyroid in October 2016 and I came through the process before, during and after the operation successfully with God’s help and that of my family. I had to wait 7 months for the surgery because I couldn’t be treated at a private clinic as we are a family of limited economic resources and I had to wait to have it done at a public hospital in my country.
By the grace of God the operation was a success, but I still need to be treated with radioactive iodine, a therapy that costs approximately $4,000. The doctors recommended that I receive that treatment in Guatemala or El Salvador (neighboring countries) where there is better and more effective treatment. As I wrote previously, we don’t have sufficient funds for the cost of this treatment and it’s because of that that I’m asking you for economic help. Recently I have been doing various activities to raise funds, but it hasn’t been sufficient and my appointment for the procedure is in March 2017.
I am asking the Lord to allow me to receive the blessing of this treatment with your help. No matter what amount you donate, what is important is this gesture of your love for me and my family, and for that we will be infinitely grateful.
