Help Iven Overcome Unexpected Medical Costs

Donation protected

Help Iven with unexpected medical bills and to get back on his feet.

Olga Anglero is his wife.

We all hate it when we get an unexpected bill in the mail or something unexpected happens that is going to impact our finances. Especially when we can almost see hope to get back on track financially. With the way the economy is, it is difficult for me to write these few words to ask for help from friends and family to help my brother Iven.

Iven has been in and out of the hospital for the last couple of months battling infections due to Diverticulitis and Prostatitis. The infection was so severe that when the doctor admitted him a month or so ago, she told him had he waited another day or two he would have been septic, making it more difficult to recover if at all.

Iven had to go through several rounds of intravenous antibiotics. It seemed like he was on the road to recovering but then taking a turn for the worse. This went on for several weeks. All the while he was eager to get back to work. They discharged him with an IV port so he can go back and get his antibiotics as an outpatient. Well, he went back to work and was getting his antibiotic treatments, and he seemed to be fine and suddenly he took a turn for the worse again and ended up in the hospital again. This occurred several times.

This last time the doctor informed him he needed to have surgery to have the damaged portion of his intestines removed or he would continue to get worse. Reluctantly he agreed to the surgery. He underwent the surgery and is currently still in the hospital. He needs physical therapy and will remain out of work for approximately twelve weeks.

Iven loves to work and help others out. While visiting him two years ago I remember him making dinner and he made so much food. I asked him why he was making so much food and he told me to help my neighbors out who are struggling. After he finished making dinner, he packed up the food in containers and delivered it to his neighbors and some homeless people within the neighborhood. He did this despite his own personal and financial struggles.

I know there are those who would like to help but are unable to and that is ok. If you are unable to help, please, please, please, please, please, keep him in your prayers. For those who can help, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for considering helping my brother out. God bless you and thank you for your time.

Sincerely,

Eddie Ortiz
