On the night of January 11, 2021 Ivan was celebrating his 30th birthday at his place of work and later in the night and altercation between other customers and management ensued. Ivan was trying to de-escalate the situation and the customer who started the altercation, at one point during the fight, went back to his car, grabbed a gun, and shot at Ivan. Ivan was shot through his hand and into his shoulder, causing internal bleeding, the bones in his hands shattered as the bullet went through his hand and into his chest, millimeters from his heart and puncturing his lungs. He has been in the hospital for over a week and has had two surgeries. He is staying positive in his current condition and spreading happiness even when he's feeling weak. Ivan is a bright light to many who meet him and know him. He is always making sure everyone is okay before himself, he is always spreading love and positivity and lifting spirits wherever he goes no matter what he deals with in his own life. He would risk his own safety for those he loves and cares for, and that why he's in this position, because he is an amazing person who puts everyone before himself. He truly did not deserve this to happen to him. We are asking for everyone's help to raise money to help him pay his hospital bills, he is out of work currently and can't go back at the moment. Together we can help a amazing man get a fresh start on his life again and get back into the cycle of his everyday life. He deserves the love he gives to everyone else!
