Hello my name is Ivan Guillen, I’m originally from Los Angeles California, but I’ve been living in Las Vegas for over 4 years now. I come from immigrant parents from Mexico but I was raised by a single mother. I’ve been taking care of my mother for the last 3 years. 2 of those years she’s been in and out of the hospital around 14 times. It has not been easy, to say the least. I was doing alright until I lost my first job over a year ago. Last year I was doing just Lyft while trying to get another job. I had fallen back on car payments and my car got repossessed last year in October. Since then I had been using a rental through Hertz Lyft Express (I don’t recommend it). I lost my ability to drive for Lyft earlier this January because I was listening to a podcast that had to do with God. I have not been able to bring in any income and I’m facing possible homelessness. To tell you the truth I don’t really care if I’m homeless because I can fend for myself, I just don’t want my mother in the streets; especially with her health problems. I’m hoping and praying that this reaches the right people and that you might be able to help. I’m looking for $2000 to stay afloat while I find another job.
