Help Italian filmaker flying to Indianapolis Indy Film Fest

Hi,

my name is Daniele Favilli. I'm an Italian actor, director and screenwriter.

A few years ago I made the pilot, entitled "Ultima Vittima" (Last Victim), for a sci-fi/thriller TV series of my own creation.

In an alternative world, murder is legalized and assassins have become celebrities...even if their true identities are unknown.

The project is extremely ambitious as you can see from the short trailer below.

The budget we had available was really low since my team and I were not supported by any network. However, we managed to put together an amazing work that received outstanding feedbacks.

The pilot had a great response at its premiere, in June 2023, during the DANCES WITH FILMS festival in Los Angeles at the prestigious Chinese Theatre (yes, the one with the handprints in the cement and the Walk of Fame in Hollywood).

I, with great financial effort, managed to attend the festival and this was of great help to move the adventure of the project forward.

Ultima Vittima then attended many other festivals and won awards.

Now a new great opportunity presents itself: a new prestigious festival, after two years, has selected the pilot.

I was personally invited to attend and I believe that my presence on site would be absolutely precious for the adventure of this project which, objectively and without false modesty, brings a bit of freshness and originality to the unfortunately banal repetitiveness of the international audiovisual.

Attending the festival would allow me to form new alliances and collaborations with international partners and aim for the new goal of the project:

shooting some additional scenes (about 25 minutes) and making it a feature film. Some distribution companies are in fact much more interested in a stand-alone audiovisual product than in a pilot for a TV series.

At the moment, however, my finances are really below zero.

In the economic condition I find myself in, I am absolutely unable to face the cost of travel and accommodation. Even just for the five days (April 23 - 27) of the festival.

I recognize that it is a bit of a last minute request. But I really tried until the last minute to collect my finances. But it is not mathematically possible for me. I need a bit of help.

I think it's a wonderful opportunity.
