On April 22, we found out our soon-to-be 2-year-old son has cancer. A mass was found on the right kidney, and it's believed to be a Wilms Tumor. Issac was admitted to Norton's Children Hospital and had surgery on the 23rd to remove the tumor and his right kidney. We were lucky that the tumor was found early, and Issac's outcome looks positive. There were no signs of the tumor spreading beyond the kidney or into other organs, and the removal was successful. They did find a micro tear on the tumor, though, and because of this, Issac is going to have to go through chemotherapy. Insurance has covered everything medical so far, but we are looking for any help with the cost of travel back and forth to hospitals over the next few months. Anything raised will be used for transportation costs and vehicle maintenance during this time.
