My dear friend Issac is doing his best to survive the hardest time of his life. He is facing extensive medical issues that are actively attacking his body and brain. In the last year alone, he has gone from living an active, athletic lifestyle to being completely disabled and fighting for his life. His friends and family have come together to help cover medications and specialized medical care in an effort to save his life, but he needs all the support he can get. Anything helps him and his family during this time. Unfortunately, getting seriously sick is incredibly expensive.

I will share as much detail about his situation as possible and provide updates as the weeks go on. Here is what we currently know:

Issac has struggled with autoimmune diseases since he was a baby. Over the years, these conditions have progressively worsened, resulting in alopecia, juvenile arthritis, Type 1 diabetes, skin diseases, severe gut issues, and other still-undiagnosed illnesses. While he managed these conditions remarkably well for most of his life, over the past year his immune system has dramatically escalated its attack on his body, leaving him completely debilitated.

In less than nine months, Issac’s weight dropped from 155 pounds to 112 pounds. His joints and skin began to lock up, leaving him with little to no mobility and constant, intense body pain. On top of this, extreme fatigue syndrome has kept him largely bedbound and unable to function. His close friends pooled their resources and rushed him to a highly respected functional medicine clinic in hopes of stabilizing his rapidly declining health. After extensive testing, treatments, and significant financial cost, they were able to somewhat slow his decline and uncover critical information about the root causes of his autoimmune conditions.

Doctors discovered that his body is infected with over ten different species of mold that are actively modulating his immune system and poisoning his brain. These mold infections have severely compromised his body’s ability to fight infections and clear toxins. In addition to the deep mold infections, testing revealed parasites and dangerously elevated levels of heavy metals, including cadmium, cesium, nickel, uranium, lead, and many others (see toxin report below).

Issac is currently working with numerous Western medicine specialists—gastroenterologists, rheumatologists, dermatologists, and more—while also receiving care from highly specialized functional medicine doctors. He and his family are in the process of applying for disability, but the system moves slowly, and mounting medical expenses are pushing him toward medical bankruptcy.

Our hope is to raise enough money to help Issac continue receiving the professional care he desperately needs and to ease the financial burden of the extremely strict diet and supplementation regimen that is currently keeping him alive.
