Hi I’m Asha and I met Israel on Nextdoor after seeing some of his posts about having lost his dog Cali from the Park Merced area on 12/18.

After multiple posts, hundreds of comments, tons of likes and shares, and 2 heart-wrenching weeks of community members and Israel searching for Cali, we were all overjoyed to hear that on New Year’s Day, Cali had been found!!

But the story doesn’t stop there. Once Cali was home, he wasn’t eating well and was fatigued. Israel took him immediately to the vet after finding blood in his urine.

It wasn’t but a couple of days after that, despite nursing him with rice water and administering antibiotics, that Cali passed lovingly in his Papa’s arms.

Cali, the gorgeous happy-go-lucky schnauzer/poodle mix, was both Israel’s therapy dog and best friend.

Now he needs our help to make the best out of a hard situation through monetary support to assist with Cali’s cremation within the hospital’s deadline of a week’s time.

Please give what you can so Israel can have and hold on to some of Cali’s ashes to remember him by.
