Our daughter Isla who is only four-years-old has a brain tumor that is inoperable. She has been treated for over two years on conventional medicine (covered by insurance) that has not shown proof of regression or any improvement. We were lucky enough to get in contact with a doctor who felt that an alternative drug compiled with a nutrient infusion will work in conjunction with her immune system to break down her tumor directly.
We have been paying for this treatment with our emergency fund and generosity of friends and family and are still needing more money to allow Isla to finish her treatment. We have seen tumor breakdown through twice-daily blood samples sent overnight to the lab. These reports have given us great joy and excitement that we are not wasting our money, time or Isla’s struggling side effects for this period of treatment.
We were told that Isla should only be on this treatment for six weeks, but prognosis, though promising, may keep us on treatment longer. Isla is on a strong dose of steroids and counteracting medicine along with her continuous infusion that keeps her activity low and her behavior impulsive. Her sweet personality is clouded with negative side effects.
This plea of help is directed for keeping Isla on the positive path of recovery. Allowing her to finish her 12,000 dollar per week treatment will get her back to the sweet and loving daughter she has always been. We are asking you from the bottom of our hearts to feel what Isla is going through and to understand that we cannot complete hard tasks on our own; we need the community and generosity of compassionate people to allow Isla’s cure from cancer. We believe this WILL happen!!!
with humble request,
Ross and Danielle Collord
