Isla is not your average little girl.

She’s a warrior — not just on the mat, but in life. Born with additional and medical needs, Isla has faced more challenges in her young years than many of us will in a lifetime. But she’s never let that stop her. Every obstacle, every setback, she’s met with bravery, strength, and a smile that lights up the room.

Now, Isla has been given an extraordinary opportunity — to represent Rochdale and the UK at the World Martial Arts Championships in Norway this November, standing tall beside her incredible mum, who’s been by her side every step of the way.

This isn’t just about a competition. It’s about showing the world what determination truly looks like. It’s about proving that no dream is too big, no fight too tough, and no goal out of reach — no matter the odds.

But making this dream a reality comes with a heavy price. Registration costs alone are already totalling over £600 — and that’s just to secure their place before the early bird deadline on May 1st. That doesn’t even include flights, accommodation, or the other expenses involved in representing your country on the world stage.
