Help Isaac's family in Gaza survive and rebuild their life

Donation protected

My name is Angela from Germany and I am hosting this GoFundMe for Isaac's family upon their request. I lived with his family for a year in the 90s in Gaza where I worked in agricultural development. I hope to repay their generosity, kindness and care at this incredibly difficult time for them when they fear for their survival and have lost their homes, livelihood, as well as many friends and family members. All funds will be transferred directly to Isaac and his family. The money will help them survive by paying for essentials, to help send the children to safely study abroad and eventually to rebuild a home to live in. Thank you for your support!

This is the story and words from Isaac himself:

Support Isaac's Family from Gaza to Survive & Rebuild their Future

Hello World,

My name is Isaac from Gaza, Palestine. I urgently reach out to you in a time of crisis. More than seven months have passed since the war. We are confronting unprecedented challenges. We had to evacuate our house several times due to the severity of the bombing and airstrikes. After the airstrikes bombed our apartment, the harsh reality forced us to leave our house in northern Gaza, and we had to leave everything behind to survive. We headed to the southern regions of the Gaza Strip, where we also suffered displacement several times.

My family consists of seven members: my wife, my three sons, my daughter and her two beautiful daughters. They are all educated and have dreams, each of them had a job and a life - but not anymore. They remain committed to their passion to achieve their dreams, and any assistance provided will contribute to rebuilding our lives. Your generosity can make a significant impact on our journey to overcome adversity and bring hope back into my family's lives.

Here are pictures of our daily life during the war. Each family member has specific tasks to perform every single day, including collecting and cutting wood, picking herbs from the ground, lighting a fire, preparing food, cooking, searching for clean water, and other tasks to stay alive.

Throughout the days of the war, we suffered from a lack of food and clean water. There is no electricity, fuel, or even the Internet. We have to light a fire ourselves from wood to cook food and pick herbs from the ground to eat. The circumstances, dangers, and hardships are unimaginable. But with the efforts of all family members and everyone’s participation to secure the necessities of life, we continue the struggle for survival.

This war and these difficult times made us know the importance of the family and the importance of being united as a family next to each other.

After a long, hard, tiring day trying to find food, clean water, lighting a fire, and cooking, we get one meal a day if we're lucky.

We have already suffered the painful loss of our apartment, which we bought ten years ago for $80,000 after airstrikes bombed the building on 25/10/2023. Rubble is what is left of our house. Our memories, money, photo albums, and the corners we used to sit in were demolished. This tragedy has left an indelible mark on our lives.

These are pictures of the destroyed Al Haitham 3 Building in northern Gaza. Our apartment is in this building.

My grandchildren, Hala & Noha

Hello, my name is Heba and I have two beautiful daughters, Hala, 13, and Noha, 16. They are both in school, but not anymore because their school was destroyed by bombing. Hala loves drawing, she overcomes the fear of the terrifying bombing sounds by drawing. Noha loves shopping, fashion and outings. Six years ago, after the death of my husband, may God have mercy on him, life was no longer the same as it was in the past for me and my daughters. The cruel and destructive war added to our pain. My house was burned to the ground and all our beautiful memories went with it. After my family’s house was bombed, we all fled from place to place to take shelter from the terrifying bombing. We try hard to adapt to the painful reality. We still dream that our harsh lives would have electricity, water, gas, flour, chicken, and meat, but unfortunately, there is no light in our lives. We also returned to the ancient stone age life. We wash our clothes with our hands in a small bucket with little water, if any! We are still searching for life amidst bombing, fear, and destruction.

Let me tell you about our beautiful cat (Saady). It lived with us throughout the war and also suffered from a lack of cat food and a lack of treatment. We tried to keep It alive, and It displaced with us from one place to another. Like us, it suffered from fear from the terrifying sounds of continuous bombing. But the circumstances were very difficult. In fact, it struggled to survive unfortunately, it could not bear it and it died recently. We grieve for Saady a lot.

Away from the terrifying sounds of bombing and airstrikes, I am launching this campaign with the purpose of rebuilding a new life for my lovely family, in order for them to complete their school and university education outside Gaza.

Regardless of the amount, every contribution holds immense significance for us. Your support will be eternally appreciated, and my family and I will be forever grateful for your generosity. Please consider spreading my campaign with your family, friends, and social media networks so I reach my target as soon as possible.

The funds raised through this campaign will be allocated entirely to rebuilding our lives and for my sons and grandchildren to complete their education outside Gaza.

Thanks sincerely for taking the time to learn about our circumstances.
