My dear friend of over 20 years, Isaura Capell, has tragically lost her home in the recent wildfires that devastated Altadena. Isaura has been a beloved member of this community for 13 years, and like many hardworking people, she and her ex-partner poured their heart and soul into buying their home. Isaura only had about one hour to gather her doggy Buddy, foster doggy Mimi and whatever else she could grab.

This loss has affected Isaura deeply, not only because of the material possessions but because of the irreplaceable memories attached to her home. Isaura’s garden was her pride and joy, filled with fruit trees that she lovingly tended to and generously shared with neighbors. She’s the type of person who always gives, whether it’s a warm meal, a listening ear, or a little gift to brighten someone’s day. Her kindness knows no bounds.

Right now, Isaura is facing the overwhelming challenge of starting over. The emotional toll of this disaster is heavy, and the road to recovery will be long. In this time of crisis, she needs our support—not just for immediate needs but also for the long-term rebuilding of her life.
