Our family is reaching out with humble hearts to ask for your prayers and support for my son, Isaiah, who was born with congenital heart disease. This is something he has lived with since birth, but unfortunately, his heart condition has worsened over time and has now reached a point where major heart surgery is necessary.

Isaiah’s congenital heart condition has progressed to the point where he will need to undergo a Ross procedure, which will require a bicuspid aortic valve replacement. This is a major heart surgery, and his recovery will require time, patience, and ongoing care.

As his mother, I cannot imagine facing this journey from a distance. I am a retired parent living in Florida, and I feel called to be by my son’s side throughout his surgery and recovery. I will be leaving my home in Florida and traveling to New York indefinitely so that I can care for Isaiah, support him emotionally, and be there for him through every difficult step of this journey.

Being retired, the additional costs of traveling, temporary living arrangements, meals, transportation, and other necessities will create a tremendous financial burden. At the same time, Isaiah is expected to be unable to work for approximately 3–4 months while he recovers. This will have a drastic impact on his financial situation, as he will still have his regular living expenses, medical-related costs, and other bills while he is unable to earn an income.

This is an incredibly frightening and uncertain time for our family. We want Isaiah to be able to concentrate on what matters most—healing, regaining his strength, and getting back to living his life—without the added stress of wondering how his expenses and needs will be met.
