My name is Brittani. I am Isaiah's sister. As most of you know, my little brother was in a bike accident with a car that fled the scene, and his condition was unknown. After worrying thousands of miles away, I was being kept in the loop by family and FaceTime.
His face is fractured in multiple places along with his collarbone, ribs, and hip. He has a collapsed lung and looks unrecognizable. He did have his helmet on, but it was ejected on impact. He was on heavy sedatives yesterday because every time they lowered it, his blood pressure rose from the pain. When he’s too sedated his blood pressure drops when he’s not sedated enough it rises. It’s a delicate balance. He is currently in the ICU being his spicy self. He is intubated, and they will try daily to get him back breathing by himself. The hospital did try to take him off of it twice today, but he was unable to take a breath on his own.
He has two small brain bleeds and bleeding behind his eyes. They did drain the fluid around his eyes so he can slowly start to open them. His condition is fragile, and we are all taking it day by day, thanking God he is alive.
Please continue to send prayers as he has a very long road to recovery ahead of him and will be in the hospital for quite some time. We are hoping he gets out of the ICU sooner rather than later so his daughter can go visit him. My entire family has been at his bedside since yesterday. Anything will help, whether it's donations or prayers. This is going to take not only a financial toll on him, but mental and physical as well. Thank you to everyone for checking in on him and to all the riders for being at the hospital with him as well.
