Last night around 10:00 PM, my brother Isaiah and sister-in-law Holly Orr became the unexpected victims of a life-altering accident, leading to the loss of their brand-new home. After getting married in June of 2022 and saving up for nearly three years to purchase their very first home together, this accomplishment was finally achieved just before the New Year. Yesterday evening, this dream was ripped away from them. Three individuals who rented a car from Turo, who were thought to be under the influence per police, reached speeds of up to 125 MPH (in a 25 MPH speed zone) and crashed the vehicle into the back of Isaiah and Holly's dream home. While Isaiah, Holly, and their four fur babies were thankfully not injured, their home suffered catastrophic damage. The impact of the crash shifted the home off the foundation and caused extensive interior damage as well. It is estimated that their home will be uninhabitable for at least 6-12 months. At this time, the extent of the financial burden they will face is unknown, but will likely be significant. While we are hopeful that insurance will cover a large portion of these unexpected costs, Holly and Isaiah have lost a significant amount of their private property due to this accident and will be responsible for insurance deductibles that they did not anticipate. To help keep them afloat during this very difficult time, I am hopeful that their community will come together and grant them financial support, positive thoughts, and prayers. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this campaign. Holly and Isaiah are two of the most dedicated, pure-hearted people that I know. They are wonderful teachers for local school districts, pet parents, and the best brother and sister I could ask for. Every donation, big or small, will make a huge impact on the Orrs moving forward. Let’s come together to show them that they’re not alone, and that even in the darkest times, there’s light in the love, generosity, and prayers of others.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you. Mariah Corbey, sister of Isaiah and Holly Orr
