One moment changed everything.

On Sunday, July 27th, just before 9:00 PM, 17-year-old Isaiah was riding his bike down the highway in Chino Valley, Arizona, when tragedy struck.

He was hit by a truck — and then, devastatingly, by a second vehicle that fled the scene.

The driver of the truck stayed and did everything he could to help until first responders arrived. Isaiah was then airlifted to Phoenix in critical condition. Since that night, he has undergone two major surgeries — one to repair a severely broken leg and another to remove a portion of his skull to relieve the intense swelling in his brain.

His injuries are extensive and heartbreaking:

• A broken leg

• A broken pelvis

• Fractures in his spine

• A fractured eye socket

• Multiple skull fractures

Isaiah has a long, uncertain road ahead — with more surgeries still to come.

His mother, Michelle, a single mom of three, is now by Isaiah’s side in Phoenix, unable to work, while her two younger children — Joseph (14) and Ava (9) — are staying two hours away with their grandparents so they can continue school.

Our parents (Michelle’s and mine) are retired or about to retire, and doing all they can to help. But this family now faces six months or more of financial strain, emotional stress, and medical uncertainty.

That’s why I’m starting this fundraiser.

My name is Nikki, and Michelle is my sister. Isaiah is my nephew. I’m asking on their behalf — with humility, urgency, and hope.

We are raising funds to cover:

• Medical bills

• Rent and utilities

• Daily expenses

• Support for Joseph and Ava

• Transportation and food while Michelle is away from home
