My lovely, wonderful, pure-hearted childhood friend Isadora Olsson will die of brain cancer unless she gets help somewhere NOW. Isadora is a good human being, fiancee, mother of two little girls, worked as a cook in elderly care for many years, always taken care of herself and everyone around here, and has a huge heart and great spirit.
She has Glioblastoma grade 4, the most aggressive form of cancer, which has spread to various parts of her brain. She has been received radiation, chemotherapy and was operated on September this year. The doctors in Sweden cannot do anything more for her.
In the spring of 2016, Isadora and her life long boyfriend Emil finally moved into their dream house outside Västerås together with their little daughter and another one on the way. She gave that spring birth to a beautiful baby girl. During the summer she nursed her then four-month-old daughter, when she suffered her first epileptic seizure. It turned out to be a brain tumor, grade 3, that was behind the frontal lobe. It was in such a bad position that no surgery could be done, instead she received chemotherapy. She was unable to tolerate it and was about to lose her life during the treatment. They decreased the dosage which she received every fourth week for three years and as you may know, going through chemo isn’t an easy task. She also received radio therapy every weekday for six weeks during the summer of 2017.
This summer she suddenly lost some eyesight and became weaker on her left side of the body. An MR scan showed a new tumour in her head, but this one could be operable. The surgery was booked for September but before that she wanted to go on one last trip with her family. They went to Italy and she said it was the most wonderful trip of her life. She even snorkeled with the fish in the ocean, even though she is scared of fish. She said it was liberating and that she was very proud of herself.
After the trip, it was time to have the surgery. After the surgery she woke up blind and weak on her left side. One week after the surgery she was rushed into surgery again to decrease the pressure in her brain. After that it got better, but never as good as before. Analysis of the tumor also showed that it was now of Glioblastoma grade 4, which is by far the most aggressive form of cancer.
About a week ago, she started to swell and drink huge amounts of water. It has now been found that a third tumor has been found in the part of the brain that controls the fluid balance, blood pressure, heat regulation and the sleep cycle. As if that wasn’t enough, she also got a psychosis because of the big amounts of cortisone she is receiving.
We are therefore reaching out to all of you in pure desperation! We are currently trying to find different ways to solve the problem. There are doctors in Germany as well as the Middle East and the states that could possibly help her. These cost huge amounts of money and there is no money. She has no health insurance or life insurance, and a treatment abroad can cost from 25 000 USD.
