Aviation Fundraiser

Aloha! My name is Isabella Chambliss Alexander, and I am a 16-year-old aspiring pilot from Maui, Hawaiʻi.

Last weekend, I took my very first introductory flight, and I absolutely fell in love with flying. Being in the air confirmed that aviation is exactly what I want to pursue as my career.

Several major aviation scholarships open in January, but to qualify, I need to complete a number of initial flight hours or other flight training to show I am truly interested. I am trying to raise $3,000 ( each hour costs $260) to pay for those initial flight hours, along with training materials.

Here’s a little about who I am and why this means so much to me:

✨ Strong community involvement:

In 8th grade, I earned the Top Community Service Award for completing over 100 volunteer hours in one school year — a milestone usually reached over an entire four-year high school career.

I volunteer through my church and help with the Lahaina tree-replanting initiative to help with replanting Lahaina post the devastating August 8th fire.

✨ Dedication and personal discipline:

I have danced Hula since I was five years old, showing long-term commitment, cultural pride, and discipline.

I have been on the honor roll every year of high school.

I earned my junior scuba certification at age 10, finishing among the first in my class, showing I am willing to do the hard work and push the limits.

I am motivated, hardworking, and determined to become a pilot — I just need help taking this first step so I can apply for scholarships that will make my training possible.

Donations will directly help me earn the flight hours, pay memberships, and buy the pilot courses that I need to get started.
