My name is Isabella Newton and I am currently enrolled as a full time student at Montclair State University. Recently, my family has been hit with financial hardships. My mother, who is my soul provider, has been faced with a decrease in pay and that has affected our lives a ton. I am currently at risk of having to leave University due to an outstanding bill. I have gone to the financial aid office multiple times to see if I can have any more assistance given my circumstances, and every time I have left in tears because I have been told “there is not much else the University can do”. I have applied to a plethora of scholarships and have yet to hear back. My mother and I have applied to countless loans to try and solve my problems, and we have been denied every time due to credit reasons. I truly don’t know what else to do. I love it here at Montclair State but if I don’t have this resolved by December 8th, then I am forced to move out.
