I’ve been in Spanish Immersion since kindergarten (which is basically my whole life ), and I’m really proud of how far I’ve come. Now that I’m about to finish middle school, I have the chance to go with my class on a cultural and language trip to San Juan, Puerto Rico from April 9 to April 12, 2026. I’m SO excited because I’ll finally get to use Spanish in real life, not just in a classroom, and see how it’s part of everyday life.

Puerto Rico is special because Spanish is everywhere, all the time, and I can’t wait to practice speaking with people, learn about the culture, and make memories with my classmates before we all start high school. I know this trip will help me grow in confidence, independence, and appreciation for other cultures, plus it’s going to be such a fun way to celebrate finishing 8th grade with my class.
