Isabella Wang is one of my personal heroes. An undergraduate at Simon Fraser University, she has somehow managed to double major in English and World Literature while working four jobs to put herself through school. She is a straight-A student and an award-winning poet, and she is also one of the friendliest and most thoughtful people on the planet (even if she does insist on inducing groans with her  "dad jokes"!).

 

Unfortunately, at age 21 Isabella was diagnosed with stage 2 kidney cancer. There's good news on that front: she had surgery on January 10th and is recovering very well, with an excellent prognosis.

 

However, she has a substantial recovery ahead of her, and since she won't be able to work much for a little while, she needs some help covering  a few expenses. Isabella's health problems have coincided with some more mundane issues, such as moving expenses (her former apartment had a poorly-timed mold infestation) and cat care (leave it to Dany the rascally feline to get sick at the same time as her mom). Isabella would be grateful for small contributions to get her through the next month or so.
