On July 19th, our sweet 2-year-old niece Isabel suffered a devastating burn injury.

Isabel accidentally fell into what looked like a harmless, unlit fire pit — but beneath the ash, hot coals were still smoldering. She sustained third-degree burns to her forearm and now faces 2–3 surgeries for skin grafting, followed by weeks of intense recovery.

Isabel is expected to stay in the hospital for 3–4 weeks due to her high risk of infection. She’s only two years old — it’s heartbreaking to see her go through this.

Her parents are doing everything they can, but they’re overwhelmed:

• Isabel’s baby brother, Welles (11 months), has been hospitalized multiple times this year due to breathing issues.

• Lexi has been in an ambulance four times in just one year with their children.

• They live 3.5 hours away from the hospital and don’t have a place to stay nearby.

• Isabel’s dad is trying to commute, support his wife, and care for Welles — all while trying to maintain income.

• They recently purchased a fixer-upper home in June, but the renovation is now on hold — he was doing the work himself.

• It’s unclear how much of the medical costs will be covered by insurance.

We’re raising funds to help cover:

Temporary lodging, food, and transportation near the hospital

Out-of-pocket medical expenses

Recovery and post-surgery costs at home

This family is loving, resilient, and exhausted. They’re doing everything they can, but they need help.
