Help Isabel and Joe Recover from Fire, Astoria NY

Isabel and Joe, Astoria NY tenants, were DISPLACED BY FIRE from their 30th Ave Astoria apartment this week! Astoria Tenant Union is hosting this GoFundMe to raise money for Isabel and Joe's immediate needs and temporary housing. Our neighbors' apartment is condemned and ALMOST ALL BELONGINGS DAMAGED due to fire or water.

We are incredibly relieved Isabel and Joe are safe. Displacement alone is traumatic, and to lose your housing and belongings to fire is horrifying. Astoria Tenant Union will be coordinating short and long-term needs but Isabel and Joe need $$$ for moving, parking, belongings, furniture, basic needs, etc! They are temporarily housing upstate but both work in NYC and will be preparing to return to their jobs in New York.

Isabel and Joe are integral to our community. They teach our children and keep them safe!! Isabel and Joe need support from their community IMMEDIATELY! Funds will go directly to finding and providing safe housing for Isabel and Joe, replacing personal necessities, moving, clothing and furniture, parking, and trauma related therapy.
