Help Isaac Study in America!

Isaac has big goals. Can he count on you for an assist?

 

I was lucky enough to get to know Isaac last summer while volunteering at El Cambio Academy in Uganda. Isaac takes his academics very seriously, is a leader among his peers, and a gifted soccer player. For these reasons, Isaac was encouraged to apply to US Prep Schools for his high school years, and was accepted to two top boarding schools on the west coast .

 

I was thrilled when Isaac selected the Dunn School in California. However, while his admission to Dunn School will cover his tuition plus room and board, it will not cover things like a holiday flight home to Uganda, a cell phone to stay in touch with his new friends, clothing to deal with cooler temperatures than he has ever experienced, and much more.

 

It is with this in mind that Goals and Assists was founded: a non-profit program specifically designed to cover all of those additional expenses that may not be covered. I am excited to report that Isaac has been selected as the inaugural Goals and Assists Scholar!

 

Uganda is among the world's poorest countries, with the average American earning more in a week than the average Ugandan earns in an entire year. Even after earning a full tuition and room + board scholarship, the cost of living is still highly prohibitive for a child with Isaac's background.

 

This is where Goals and Assists comes in. Its mission being to provide financial and developmental assistance to nurture the academic, athletic, and character development of gifted youth worldwide.

 

By providing Isaac with the support structure that he needs to relieve the stresses related to basic day-to-day needs, he is able to focus on progressing in his education, advancing his athletic abilities, and further developing his character.
