Hi, my name is Jordan, and I’m helping my friend Isaac relocate out of an unsafe living situation and into stable housing. Isaac is currently living without heat or running water and was recently forced to leave a property he helped purchase. Because of these conditions, his move date has been moved up so he can get somewhere safe, clean, and warm, with a community of people who can help support his transition and independence.

Isaac has been diagnosed with Leber’s Hereditary Optic Neuropathy (LHON), a rare genetic condition that causes severe and progressive vision loss by damaging the optic nerve. He is legally blind, which makes sudden displacement and starting over significantly more challenging without support. Living without reliable heat, running water, or plumbing presents serious daily challenges for anyone. For someone who is blind, those conditions create additional safety and accessibility risks that make day-to-day living significantly more difficult and, at times, unsafe.

This fundraiser is meant to help cover the immediate, practical costs of relocation and basic setup so Isaac can arrive safely and regain stability. To protect his privacy, I’m keeping identifying details limited. This is a short-term, one-time effort — not a request for ongoing support. I’m grateful for any support, whether through a donation or by sharing this fundraiser. With community support, Isaac can move out of an unsafe situation and into a stable environment where he can begin rebuilding his independence.
