Isaac, my cousin, grew up in a tough neighborhood with an absent father, which left the streets to raise him. As a teenager, he made the brave decision to leave street life behind and moved to Arizona for a better opportunity. Months before his move, Isaac experienced the tragic loss of his brother to violence. Despite witnessing such tragedy and facing many hardships, Isaac changed his life. He became a supporting member of his community, embracing his heritage as an Aztec dancer and giving back to those around him. He’s got his youthful spirit back—something taken from him as a young child. Being exposed to death and drugs left him feeling empty and depressed, but he found hope and purpose in his new life.

Now, Isaac’s past is catching up to him, and he is facing legal challenges related to his history. This situation has left his family in debt, and we are struggling to cover the legal fees needed for a defense attorney.
