Hello, and thank you for visiting this GoFundMe page. I created it because my incredibly giving, kind, all-around wonderful brother, Isaac, just had to pay massive medical bills for his dog, Wilson, who is a 4-year-old, mini Australian Shepherd. Wilson got into the cat litter while he was staying with me, and it was stuck inside of him. He had to have 2 surgeries and spend almost an entire week straight in the animal hospital to remove it. The medical staff used enemas, saline, and lots of fluids to try to flush it out, but the cat litter was clumping and not coming out of him, and the doctor ended up needing to shorten his intestines. My brother was told he had to shorten Wilson’s intestines or he needed to be euthanized. The procedure to shorten the intestines will also likely give Wilson diarrhea for the rest of his life and may cut his life shorter. Isaac will have to adjust his feeding schedule, type of food, and overall care for Wilson with these new medical issues he may have. My brother chose to have them do the procedure on Wilson because he loves him and felt that he was young enough to recover and that he could do what needed to be done to care for him. Now that all the litter is out and the intestines are shortened, Wilson is very slowly making progress towards being able to eat solid food, which he hasn’t been able to do in the past week.

Needless to say, my brother wasn’t prepared to spend 12k in a week in order to save his furry son’s life. The bills are a financial burden that are causing stress on my brother, who already has so many new supports that he needs to provide for Wilson as he recovers from everything he’s been through in the past week. Any donation that you can give to my brother would be so appreciated, and would help out one of the best people that I know. If there are funds leftover after paying for Wilson’s medical bills, we will donate it to the Idaho Falls Animal Shelter.
