Vincent “Isaac” Perez is a 10-year-old with a BIG opportunity! Isaac was nominated to represent Franklin Elementary School at the National Youth Leadership Forum (NYLF) Pathways to STEM program in July 2021.
NYLF Pathways to STEM is an intensive, week-long experience that offers elementary school leaders an unprecedented opportunity to discover their strengths and acquire valuable life leadership skills. According to Franklin Elementary nominators, Isaac was chosen based on his exceptional maturity, academic merit, strength of character, and leadership potential. In addition, Isaac was awarded a $500 scholarship from NYLF to support his attendance. He is deeply humbled and honored to stand for his school and community.
I am incredibly proud of Isaac’s achievement, but as a single mother who has yet to regain stable full time employment since losing my job last year, I do not have the means to send him even with NYLF’s generous scholarship. Tuition is $2,495, and there are additional expenses including transportation, uniforms, insurance, and program fees. It’s just not possible for our family to take-on this expense when we’re struggling to meet our basic living expenses, so we are asking for your help.
Isaac and I would appreciate any contribution you might make to support his attendance. Your generous donation will help to cover his participation in all curriculum instruction, program activities and evening events, overnight housing, program materials, and all breakfasts, lunches, snacks, and dinners during the program. Any excess contributions will go toward travel, uniforms, lab attire, and program needs. The enrollment deadline is May 21st.
