Our friend in our community is currently facing an incredibly challenging situation after being wrongfully detained by ICE. The emotional and financial toll has been overwhelming for her and her parent as she is currently in custody and does not know when she will be released. The need for legal representation is urgent as her legal fees begin at 9k. The funds raised through this donation will go directly toward attorney fees, court costs, and any other expenses related to fighting for Isa’s freedom. Every dollar will help ensure they get the support and justice they deserve. Legal battles can be expensive, and without help, it’s hard to see a way forward. Isa is kind, generous, thoughtful, and hardworking. Her support includes one parent who is raising her sibling whom she loves so dearly and supports as much as possible. She is a helpful friend, neighbor, co-worker and pillar in the community. They are studying in psychology, have high aspirations to help their community and pave a positive way in society. Her time in detainment has been an experience she would not wish on anyone, where food, water, basic human resources are scare.
