My name is Iryna, and I moved from Ukraine to the USA in 2003. I was married to an American, but sadly, my husband passed away in 2015. Since then, I have continued to live in the USA, building a life here as an educator. I teach 2nd grade in an elementary school, and I truly love working with children and people, always striving to make a positive difference in their lives.


I am reaching out with a heartfelt request to help me reunite with my mom, whom I have not seen since 2017. The ongoing war in Ukraine has made it impossible for me to travel there safely, so my mom and I are planning to meet in Poland. She is in her late 70s, and every day apart has been filled with worry and longing. I miss her deeply and want nothing more than to hug her again, share real conversations, and feel the comfort of her presence.


This trip is not just about seeing my mom—it is also about making sure she has what she needs to survive. She is facing a harsh winter and needs help with food, warm clothing, paying bills, and covering medical expenses. I want to be there for her, to support her in person, and to make sure she knows she is not alone during these uncertain times.
