Hey, you may or may not know I've had a pretty tough six months!
On August 8th, I went to Gateway in Chicago for a medical detox from alcohol.
I'm happy to say it's been easy to stay off the sauce, but the rest of my life has been very hard. Quitting drinking isn't difficult, but figuring out why you drank is extremely challenging. I'd guess that is why I had this relapse.
In December, I had a nervous breakdown, and I went to Forest View for a 10-day inpatient psychiatric program.
The events leading up to and following this have cost me more than I could afford to lose, including my apartment and job. I have a wonderful support system and I'm doing okay, but the financial stuff is becoming a huge burden.
Most of all, this breakdown cost quite a bit of my mental and physical energy, so I'll still be in a sort of "recovery period" until at least February.
I'm lucky enough to be able to stay with my parents, but I'm living on credit, and already need help with bills. Also, I'm selling stuff on social media until I'm ready to have a steady job again.
Currently accepting constructive criticisms, kind words, lotto tickets, comedy shows, easy money and other handouts.
Thanks, guys!
