Hello, my name is Gary and I'm starting this fundraiser for my fiancée, Iris, who was detained by ICE while pregnant with our son. Two weeks before being detained, I had brought Iris to a doctor's appointment where she was seen by her doctor, and the baby was perfectly healthy and normal; everything was fine. There is documentation to prove this.

Then, they took her into detention where she endured horrific conditions for a pregnant woman. By her accounts, she was given food with bugs and cockroaches in it. They did not provide any sanitary, nutritional, or prenatal care for her. she slept on a concrete floor because of the roof was leaking over her bed. After three days of not feeling any fetal movement and complaining for three days our son was deceased inside of her womb, they finally took her to a hospital where she had a stillborn birth with our son while three correctional offices had a handcuff to the bed and watching the whole procedure. Four days later, they immediately put her on a flight back to her home country in Guatemala, where she lives in a remote village with little to no medical facilities to deal with her situation.

I am asking for donations to help with medical bills, transportation to get to medical appointments which are far away, and to help with her basic needs for living and food. We live in the United States of America; we are not a third-world country, and I don't care what race or nationality you are, nobody deserves to have that kind of treatment, especially in a federal facility. I will be testifying in October in front of the house judiciary committee in Washington DC. Any donations will be greatly appreciated; nothing's too small, and we thank you very much. God bless.
