Help Irini - From Albana ,Sonila

For many of us life may have been fair or even generous, because despite the difficulties we may have encountered, many of us have reached a place where we have found stability and peace.

Unfortunately, our friend Irini hasn’t been that lucky.
A devastating fire from a car accident in November 2021 on her way to the airport caused third-degree burns to 70% of her body in addition to destroying all her life savings. 

With a degree in medicine from the University of Tirana, Irini came to the US with a scholarship. People who known her, both in Boston and in Dallas where she has lived in recent years, have seen how hard she worked to realize the dream of a dignified life for her and her daughter. But sometimes life is unfair and puts in front of us in front of difficult obstacles that are hard to overcome alone. This is what happened to our friend Irini with the accident.

Irini’s only close family is her teenage daughter. Mother and daughter were happy when Irini woke up from a coma after 3 months. But they could not hug each other! From the deep burns the fire casued, Irini has lost the use of her hands and feet. The excruciating pain of the body, however, is nothing compared to the pain of the soul.

After 4 months in hospital, Irini needs to be transferred to a 'skilled care facility'. A long and very difficult road of rehabilitation awaits her. Doctors think that she can regain the function of her lower limbs (but unfortunately not her arms and hands) if she is treated with intensive physical therapy in the next two years.

Irini hasn’t lost her hope that one day she will be able to make it on her own and even be able to support her daughter.
But she cannot do it without our help.
With no financial means and no close relatives nearby, all she has left is our generosity. 

Therefore, we appeal to the generosity of the Albanian and other  communities in Boston, Dallas  and everywhere, to help Irini and her daughter to be able to rely on each other again and be able to hug each other soon!

Per shume nga ne jeta mund te kete qene bujare, sepese edhe me veshtiresite qe mund te kemi hasur, kemi arritur ne nje pike ku kemi gjetur stabilitet dhe paqe.

Fatkeqsisht Irini Muca nuk ben pjese ne kete grup. Zjarri nga një aksident me makinë në Nëntor 2021 i shkaktoi djegie të shkallës së tretë në 70% të trupit.

E diplomuar në mjekësi në Universitetin e Tiranës, Irini erdhi në SHBA me bursë studimi. Bashkatdhetarët që e kanë njohur, si në Boston edhe në Dallas ku ka jetuar vitet e fundit, e kanë parë sa shumë punonte të realizonte ëndrrën për një jetë dinjitoze per te dhe vajzen e saj. Por nganjehere jeta te perballon me prova shume te veshtira, dhe kjo I ndodhi shoqes tone Irini me aksidentin.

Irini ka vetëm vajzen adoleshente ne kete bote. U lumturuan nënë e bijë kur Irini u zgjua nga koma pas 3 muajsh. Veçse nuk u përqafuan dot! Nga djegia e thellë, Irini ka humbur përdorimin e duarve dhe të këmbëve. Dhimbjet therrëse të trupit nuk  janë asgjë para dhimbjes së shpirtit. 

Pas 4 muaj qëndrimi në spital, Irini duhet të zhvendoset në një 'skilled care facility'. Atë e pret një rrugë e gjatë dhe shume e vështirë rehabilitimi. Mjekët mendojnë se Irinit mund ti rikthehet funksioni i gjymtyrëve te poshtme (ndersa krahet dhe duart nuk mund te behen me funksionale) nëse trajtohet me terapi fizike intensive në dy vitet në vazhdim. 

Irinin e mban gjallë shpresa se një ditë do mundet të bëhet e zonja e vetes dhe në gjendje të kontribuoj për vajzen e saj. Por, ajo nuk mund t'ia dalë dot pa ndihmën tuaj.

Zjarri i përpiu edhe ato pak kursime që kishte me vehte rruges per ne aeroport. Familje të afërt nuk ka pranë. Nëna e saj zemërlënduar, në Shqipëri, e ka të pamundur ti vijë në ndihmë në çdo lloj mënyre.

Prandaj, I bejme apel bujarise dhe zemergjeresise te komuniteti shqiptar ne Boston, Dallas ne gjithe Ameriken e Veriut dhe kudo  ta ndihmojmë Irinin dhe vajzen të munden të mbështeten tek njëra-tjetra përsëri e të përqafohen fort së shpejti!
