Help Irina on Her Journey to Heal Cancer

They say life can change in an instant, and mine certainly did. I went from what felt like Peak Life (excellent health, a loving family and a purpose-driven career) to a Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer in a moment.

Cancer came out of nowhere and without a warning. I had no risk factors – I was young and healthy, had no genetic mutations, no family history, and no contributing lifestyle factors. I’ve always been health conscious. You’ve probably heard me talk about healthy foods, fitness and longevity all the time. Just a couple of months earlier, I did a comprehensive blood biomarker analysis via Inside Tracker, and pretty much everything showed up as optimal on the test. And yet, here I was. The world has turned on its axis.

The days that followed were a blur full of tests, scans, doctor appointments, and processing the news. Sharing the news with family and friends was hard. Sharing it with my kids was absolutely devastating… We mourned the loss of what felt to be a bright and certain future.

As far as cancers go, pancreatic cancer is a beast. The probability of making it past 12 months at this stage is less than 1%. I had to drop everything and focus on treatment immediately. Fortunately, I live in the mecca of modern medicine with access to world-leading specialists and cutting-edge clinical trials. I’m now a part of one, and so far, my treatment is showing great results, filling our hearts with hope, but there is a long road ahead.

I choose to believe in miracles and live each day with joy, positivity, and gratitude. For the past 3 months, I’ve been on a learning and healing journey, leaving no stone unturned. Healing cancer goes way beyond conventional medicine, and I’m pursuing multiple healing modalities, from diet change to supplements to acupuncture to energy healing, seeking to understand and address the root causes, and rebalancing mind, body and spirit. Cancer forced me to reflect deeply on my life, beliefs and habits. It has initiated a profound transformation that I believe can lead to healing.
