My mom, Irina, who is in her 80s, recently suffered a devastating accident and now struggling for life. She broke her arm and, even more critically, sustained a severe head injury. She was rushed to the ER and then hospitalized at Lahey Clinic in Burlington, MA.

Irina is not just my mom—she is a deeply loving, supportive person who has touched so many lives. She has always been there for others with kindness, warmth, and strength, always upbeat, energetic, ready to support others. She is also a professional artist who has shared beauty and inspiration through her work for many years. Anyone who knows her knows how much heart she brings into everything she does.

Seeing her like this is unimaginable. Mom has always been a heart and soul of the family as well as a wise, caring person for all. Our family is holding on to hope, but the reality is incredibly hard right now. I'm the only child and my father passed away a while ago...I can't bare heavy thoughts which naturally cross my mind but trying to stay hopeful.

Alongside the emotional pain, the financial burden is growing quickly. The cost of emergency care, treatment, and what will likely be a long road to recovery is more than we can manage on our own.
