Help Irene Rebuild Her Life.
On Tuesday, July 24th my sister Irene Gyselinck lost everything in a devastating fire in Deep Cove, Vancouver. She was rescued from her top floor apartment by firefighters and made it out with only minor injuries.

Irene has gone through a lot in the recent years from losing her husband Lorne unexpectedly to several serious health issues which have left her with limited mobility.
Irene is always there when others need help. She has given many years of her life looking after our father until his death. She gave our mom round the clock care until it was no longer possible. Mom now lives in a long-term care facility and Irene visits with her weekly (until now), even making a point to visit other seniors there that have no family.
She keeps a positive attitude through it all and always maintains good spirits. We are hoping to help her out just like she would any friend, family member, or even a stranger.
Irene lives frugally, her only income is her pension. Irene was paying subsidized rent at the residence. Now with very low vacancy rates, and many people on the waiting list for subsidized housing, finding her new home will be challenging.
My goal is to raise $5,000 to help Irene rebuild her life.
Immediate needs: replace the following items lost in the fire:
Medications
Walker
Identification
Bus Pass and Cab fare. She has injured both feet and has difficulty walking
Future Needs:
Damage deposit
Furniture
Bed and bedding
Dishes, pots, pans, cutlery, small appliances.
Items yet to be determined
Thank you so much for all of your support.
