This morning, my grandmother, Irene Lipscomb, who is 96 years old, experienced a devastating house fire that took everything she owns. In a matter of moments, she lost her home, her clothing, and all of her personal belongings. While we are incredibly grateful that she is safe, she is now left with nothing and facing the overwhelming task of starting over from scratch at her age.

Irene has always been a pillar of strength and kindness in our family and community. She has spent her life caring for others, offering a warm smile, a helping hand, and a listening ear to anyone in need.
