Support for the Victims’ Families & Artist Lounge After the October 2 Tragedy

On October 2, 2026, our community experienced an unimaginable tragedy.

A shooting occurred during a private gathering at Artist Lounge in Northridge, California, resulting in the deaths of two young people and leaving our community deeply shaken. Our hearts are with the victims, their families, friends, and everyone who witnessed or was affected by this heartbreaking event.

Artist Lounge was created to be a place where people could come together through art, music, dance, creativity, and community. We never imagined that our space would become the site of such a devastating tragedy.

We are creating this fundraiser to provide support in two important areas:

❤️ Support for the victims’ families

A portion of the funds raised will be provided to the families of the victims to help with funeral and memorial expenses, immediate financial needs, and other costs resulting from this tragedy.

Support for Artist Lounge’s recovery

A portion of the funds will help Artist Lounge recover from the devastating financial and operational impact of the incident, including unexpected expenses, lost business, professional services, security and safety improvements, and the work needed to eventually rebuild trust and restore our creative community space.

Artist Lounge is more than a venue. It is a place where artists, children, families, educators, musicians, dancers, and members of our community have gathered to create, learn, celebrate, and connect.

Right now, we need our community more than ever.

Every donation—no matter the amount—will make a difference. If you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser with your family, friends, coworkers, and community would mean just as much to us.

We are grieving. We are hurting. But we also believe that our community can come together with compassion and support for the families who have suffered an unimaginable loss.

Thank you for standing with the victims’ families, Artist Lounge, and our entire Northridge community during this incredibly difficult time.

With gratitude and love,
