Innovate Recycle is a truly innovative company.

We are the first in the UK and Europe to properly recycle end of life and industrial offcut polypropylene based carpet. We don’t burn it or bury it and instead deconstruct the carpet and reclaim high grade polypropylene and calcium carbonate for reuse in a wide range of manufacturing applications.

On the 11th of July 2026 our facility in Northampton suffered a serious fire which has destroyed one third of our operating space. Thankfully, no one was injured and our deconstruction process line remains intact, but we will not be able to re-establish operations for at least a couple of months.

Prior to the fire we were in the final stages of moving to full profitability. We have established strong working relationships across the carpet, local authorities and waste management industries. In the last twelve months, working with close partners, we have also undertaken detailed R&D to refine our recycled polypropylene product and there is strong interest in using our polypropylene in the automotive, consumer goods and wider injection moulding industries. We had achieved early product sales and were negotiating other supply agreements.

To help us get through the next few months, while we get back up and running, we are seeking help to cover our basic costs and in particular to pay our loyal, hard-working team and retain 26 jobs in Northampton.

Funds raised will be used to accelerate the recovery process, allowing us to get operational within the next two months.

What makes this even more meaningful is that once we are operational again, the funds raised will be re-donated back to charity, continuing the positive impact and community spirit that Innovate Recycle stands for.

The Innovate Recycle process provides a solution to one of the UK and Europe’s most challenging waste items. We’re helping the carpet industry to build a truly circular economy solution for carpet waste. If we do not get through the next few months this circular economy opportunity will take a significant step backwards.
