Hi! We created this fundraiser for our friend Luca to help them afford rent, bills, and living expenses after suffering a serious third-degree burn at a recent punk show. They have a lot of love for the punk scene and spend many of their weekends at shows; as well as being actively involved in the community and organizing mutual aid efforts like narcan distribution and making food for unhoused folks. As a non-binary POC, they put themselves at incredible risk consistently to resist police brutality, speak out against injustices, and stand up for survivors- we need the community to show them that same love now!

On the night of the 12th, Luca fell into a large fire in the middle of a moshpit and got severely burned. We rushed them to the hospital immediately and they have been recieving treatment, but they are still waiting on medical bills and insurance coverage to be sorted out.

In the meantime though, they have been out of work for two weeks and they are not sure when they will be able to return. Their arm and back mobility has been severely impacted and it’s going to take a while till they get back to normal. We are hoping to raise enough money to cover their rent, wifi, electric, and have a little left over for other living expenses; as well as get a start on the inevitable medical bills.

This injury has severely impacted both their quality of life and mental health and they really depend a lot on the community to get them through this. Luca has done so much for their community and consistently bent over backwards to help others, all while going through the loss of a close friend and now this terrible injury.
