Justin Myers; fellow mower racer, husband to Sarah, and dad of three, was involved in a horrific mower racing incident on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at the Mow Down ALS race at 2 Brothers Raceway in Chillicothe, Ohio. Justin was transported by ambulance to the local hospital, where unfortunately they could not provide the care that he needed. He was later transported to OSU Hospital in Columbus, where they were able to assess his injuries and make a solid care plan.
They discovered that Justin had broken the ball of his humerus at his shoulder into three pieces. He was scheduled for surgery to repair the damage.
Justin underwent a very lengthy, very extensive surgery on Monday, September 29. He received numerous plates and pins in his right shoulder area and has a very long road of recovery ahead of him.
Justin earns a living by working with his hands as an auto body tech. Unfortunately, with this type of injury, he will not be able to work for the next couple of months. With Justin being the main source of income for his family, we would like to reach out to ask all of you to help Justin, Sarah, and their family during their time of need in the months to come.
We would also ask that you pray over Justin and his recovery. Full recovery time is looking like several months. During these next few months, there will be extensive physical therapy. This will come with many highs and lows, and we believe that the power of prayer will provide him with the comfort and strength to continue pushing forward to get back to 100%.
Thank you to everyone who assisted, cared for, and has prayed over Justin so far.
